December 2015 Book of the Month & Giveaway

December was another great reading month for me. I had multiple five-star reads that month, so it was very difficult to pick my favorite. I ended up choosing the hottest, steamiest book I read. It's an erotic romance with not one... not two… but three incredibly sexy heroes. They and our heroine have been best friends since childhood when they met while playing at the border of her parents' property and their amazing foster mother's property. Now that they're adults, all three men are madly in love with her and don't want to make her have to choose between them. They know it's going to take a lot of work and patience, but they've devised a plan in which they'll all share her. The only problem is that after experiencing a mind-blowing night of passion with them a year earlier, she went running scared.
Regina aka Reggie is a police officer in her small town, and one night while out on a call, she's attacked by a man who has already murdered one woman and seems to want her dead as well. Her three best friends, Cam, Hutch, and Sawyer, come rushing to her side in the hospital even though they've been giving her space since that unforgettable night. They fully intend to take her home with them to care for her until she recovers, and they won't take no for an answer. She still really loves them all and has missed them terribly, but she fears what people will think when they realize she's “shacking up” with three men, and what that might mean for her career as a public servant. She also worries about whether she, alone, can satisfy three very different men and whether they might become jealous if she shows more attention to one than the others. Then there's also the matter of the man who attacked her still being on the loose and wreaking mayhem around their usually sleepy little town.
This ended up being an incredibly good read, because it wasn't just the typical sex-fest that many erotic romances are. Now don't get me wrong, it still has tons of smokin' hot love scenes, but it also has a great plot and best of all wonderful character and relationship development. I loved how the author explored all the emotions and potential problems inherent in a polyamorous relationship, but she did it by having the characters communicate with one another. What a novel idea! (Yes, I'm being facetious.;-)) But it was refreshing to have them putting everything out on the table instead of having misunderstandings. This book was a pure pleasure to read, mainly because it has more substance and depth than many romances I've read in any genre but most especially the erotic romance genre. The three men are totally scrumptious too, and I love how they want to take care of Reggie and show her lots of TLC. She's no slouch herself, putting herself on the line to take care of them too. That's why I'm naming Maya Banks' Be with Me as my December Book of the Month. If you enjoy multiple partner erotic romances that are sweet as well as sexy then you should definitely give this book a try. Keep reading to learn how you can win a copy for your own library.

But when a mysterious attempt is made on her life, Hutch, Cam, and Sawyer jump in to protect her again. Now, the four are forming an all-new bond. It’s more exciting, more intense, and—as a killer looms in the shadows—more dangerous than ever before.
Warning: This book contains explicit language and sexual situations which may offend some readers, including ménage a quatre, some bondage, a little spanking, and anal sex within M/F, M/F/M and M/M/M/F combinations.
